Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co. – Gift Card Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all physical gift cards (“Gift Cards”) issued by Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co. (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing, using, or accepting a Gift Card, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Use of Gift Cards

• Gift Cards can only be purchased and redeemed in-person at any Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co. venue.

• Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for online orders, delivery platforms, or digital purchases.

• Gift Cards are not credit, debit, or charge cards and do not accrue interest.

• Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by Australian law.

2. Purchase & Activation

• Gift Cards are available for purchase at all Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co. venues.

• The date of purchase will be written on the back of the Gift Card at the time of purchase.

• Gift Cards are activated immediately at the time of purchase.

• Gift Cards may be loaded with any chosen value of $3 or more.
  (This is the minimum purchase amount.)

3. Validity & Expiry

• Gift Cards are valid for 3 years (36 months) from the date of purchase.

• The purchase date written on the back of the card determines the expiry date.

• Expiry = Date of Purchase + 3 years.

• Any remaining balance after expiry will be forfeited and cannot be refunded, transferred, or redeemed.

• No service, maintenance, or inactivity fees apply.

4. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards

• Treat your Gift Card like cash.

• Lost, stolen, defaced, or damaged Gift Cards will not be replaced, refunded, or redeemed under any circumstances.

• We accept no responsibility for unauthorized use of a Gift Card.

5. Balance Enquiries

• Gift Card balances can be checked at any Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co. venue by speaking with a team member.

• The balance provided in-venue is final.

6. Refunds, Returns & Exchanges

• Gift Card purchases are non-refundable.

• Items purchased using a Gift Card may be returned or exchanged in line with our standard returns policy.

• Any approved refund will be issued to a Gift Card (new or existing), not cash or bank transfer.

• Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards.

7. Limitations & Prohibited Use

• Gift Cards may not be:

  • Resold or transferred for commercial purposes without written consent.

  • Re-loaded after the initial purchase amount is added.

  • Used for promotional or marketing activities without approval.

  • Used for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes.

• We may cancel or void a Gift Card if fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected.

8. Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the remaining balance on a valid Gift Card.

  • We are not liable for loss, damage, unauthorised use, or theft of a Gift Card.

• These Terms do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

• Personal information collected during purchase or use of Gift Cards will be managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

• Transactional (non-personal) data may be used for operational, reporting, and fraud prevention purposes.

10. Changes to Terms & Program

• We may amend these Terms & Conditions or discontinue the Gift Card program at any time.

• Any changes take effect once published on our website or made available at our venues.

• Changes will not affect existing Gift Cards unless required by law.

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and the state or territory where the Gift Card was purchased.

• Any disputes will be handled by Australian courts.
